Our Projects - Trethill

There are several options for circular routes to Crafthole on the permissive paths linked to the South West Coast Path. The beach is wonderfully secluded within the side sweep of Whitsand Bay. This beach access was effectively closed due to erosion over winter 2013. Upgrading these routes will enhance the experience for regular locals and provide more options for visitors exploring the area. Thanks to funds raised by the South West Coast Path Association and from the Unlocking our Coastal Heritage project, a gateway on the South West Coast Path has been enhanced with repairs to the quoin and more secure stockproof gate installed. Access to the beach re-instated in a very difficult location. Gates on the permissive path are now much more accessible to all walkers.
