National Trail Officer

Richard Walton

"I have been the National Trail Officer since Spring 2018. My role includes co-ordinating the partnership of different organisations and individuals involved in maintaining and improving the Path.

When not on the South West Coast Path, I am busy mowing, strimming, weeding, pruning and hedging on our family small holding in South East Cornwall.

The Coast Path has always been an important part of my life from childhood holidays visiting my grandparents in Bridport, and even my wedding celebrations on the cliffs at Speke’s Mill Mouth.  Walking the Path is still a pleasure – although the kids do say - what, the Acorn again!"
