During October complete the South West Coast Path Trust10 Quad Challenge: 4 10km runs

During October you can take on four self-led 10km Trust10 trails against a backdrop of spectacular coastal views at National Trust sites on the South West Coast Path in Dorset and Devon.

Trust10 is the National Trust’s free running programme, held at selected National Trust properties https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/trust10. The 10km waymarked courses can be run at any time (apart from the Coleton Fishacre route, as sections of this route are only open when the house & garden are open) and are open to everybody.

The four courses that make up the South West Coast Path Challenge Trust10 Quad are:

Ilfracombe to Lee, North Devon

Coleton Fishacre, South Devon

Stonebarrow Hill, West Dorset

Studland Bay, Purbeck

You can complete these trails in any order and it’s up to you to choose how many to complete.

The South West Coast Path Challenge

The Challenge raises money for two registered charities - us, the South West Coast Path Association, and the National Trust. We work together to care for and improve the Path, ensuring the unique and precious coastal landscape of the South West can be enjoyed on foot, for free, now and in future generations.

Registration is just £10 and includes an official 2017 Challenge t-shirt. You can either add a donation or fundraise. Your support makes a real difference to the millions of people who come from near and far to explore, keep fit or find peace on the Coast Path each year.

Distance

Up to 40km over 4 routes

Difficulty

Whether you choose to run or walk you can pace yourself according to the terrain. Terrain will vary across properties but will consist of steep climbs and descents involving varying ground conditions according to the weather and geology.

Event date and time

You choose – just complete them during October 2017.

The courses at Studland, Morte Point and Stonebarrow are open at all times – but parts of the Coleton Fishacre course is only open when the house & garden are open.

You can complete the challenge on any of the course at a time that suits you, but we’d love you to join a Trust10event  at either Coleton Fishacre  or Studland at 8.30am for 9 am start on the 22nd October to celebrate your achievement amongst others running these courses (Organised Parkrun style events are held on these sites on the 4th Sunday of every month).
