The race is organised by PureTrail in association with the South West Coast Path October Challenge. £10 of each registration cost will go to essential Path improvements and repairs.

The Big Dipper is the first PureTrail Coastal race and possibly the toughest yet, with over 1km of vertical ascent.

The race follows the South West Coast Path from Sidmouth to Beer and returns via an extremely torturous section of the trail.

It’s not easy. It’s a serious challenge. The Dipper goes up, then it goes down, then it goes up again.

It’s 16 long vertiginous coastal miles including a spectacularly flat pebbled beach section.

Fully marked and marshalled course including a fully stocked aid station at Branscombe, approximately 5 and 10 miles.

Race held under Trail Running Association guidelines, permission of South West Coast Path and the land owners.

Sorry no dogs allowed on the course with competitiors
