Early spring ramble with lunch

Come and spend a day out with us in the beautiful South Hams, Devon. We are going to walk along the Coast Path from Thurlestone to Bantham, with its sandy beach and clean surf, as well as its delightful views across the water to Burgh island, and then pass through the picturesque village of Thurlestone on the way back, where archaeologists have found that the settlements in this part of south Devon, go right back to the Stone Age.

We will also hear from one of our local volunteers, Bill Lawrence, about this part of the Coast Path that was hit pretty badly by the winter storms of 2014 and how the Association worked with partners and supporters, including Thurlestone Golf Club, to repair the route here.

This 4 mile circular walk takes place on Friday 16th March at 10.00. After the walk, lunch will be served in the Golf Club restaurant.

If you decide to join us from further away, consider staying for longer, perhaps to do some more walking nearby with Hope Cove in one direction or along to Bigbury-on-Sea in the other. Or take in a round of Golf at the course. For further information about this event and how to book a place read on..
