All paths lead to love
This February we play cupid and invite single lovers of the Path to join a special walk and meet new like-minded friends. We hear from members every week who meet friends for life and even their future wife or husband on the Coast Path.
This circular walk is taking place on Saturday 10th February from Dawlish in Devon, over 5 miles, led by a local walk leader, taking in both Coast Path and inland paths. And conversation will flow afterwards whilst sharing a cup of tea and piece of cake at Blenheim Hotel, one of our business members.
All singles are welcome, member and non-members, and bring along other single friends you know with you.
Meeting time: 10 am (please arrive in time to leave by 10 am)
Start and finish point: Dawlish sea front, meet under Brunel's railway bridge near the station
Distance: 5 miles
Level: A gradual climb along the Coast Path with one steep hill on the outward leg and on the return there are a couple of gradual climbs. Steps and gates included!
Approximate finish time: 13.30 (followed by tea and cake!)
An alternative return leg by train is available for those that would like to join the walk and need to take part in a shorter stretch (free tickets available for those that require them, let us know when booking a place)
Refreshments: there are lots of places to have breakfast if you get to Dawlish early and we will provide a hot drink and a piece of cake at Blenheim Hotel afterwards.
Travel: arrive by train to Dawlish station, or by bus from Exeter or Teignmouth directions (Stagecoach bus 22), paid parking is available at the station and in other car parks across town.
Equipment needed - please wear appropriate clothing for walking on the Coast Path. A pair of walking boots, waterproofs (just in case!), a bottle of water and some snacks make for a more enjoyable walk.
This event is FREE but any donations given for the upkeep of the Path and the Association will be welcome.
To book a place/s email [email protected] or call us on 01752 896 237. Booking is required to secure a place by Tuesday 6th February. Places are limited so book early!
