Canine Challengers welcomed to the South West Coast Path Challenge

The South West Coast Path Challenge might only be bookable by humans, but it is walkable by dogs too!

We are encouraging our four-legged friends to get involved with the Challenge, and add miles to our mileometer (with the support of their humans!).

The South West Coast Path Challenge runs throughout October and is our biggest participation fundraising event, where we aim to get as many people/dogs out running or walking the trail to collectively beat the record for the number of miles covered in a month.

Meet Amber, our first doggy sign up. Amber loves the Coast Path and wants to ensure her favourite place to walk is protected for the future, so is pledging 5 miles to our mileometer. Thank you Amber!

Human or canine, participants can join a variety of exciting organised events throughout October – from local history walks to trail running endurance challenges. You can also create your own challenge by selecting your favourite part of the Path, registering the miles you intend to cover, and running or walking whenever you like!

Register for the Challenge here.

The money raised through The Challenge by dedicated dogs and humans alike supports our work to protect, improve and campaign for the future of the South West Coast Path. We are so grateful for your commitment – thank you!

A note for humans - we know our wonderful supporters are responsible dog owners, but just a little reminder that if you are registering your dog for the Challenge please remember to keep them on a lead at organised events or when the Path is busy, and keep plenty of poo bags about your person!
