Your favourite picnic spot on the South West Coast Path
Earlier this month the South West Coast Path launched a competition in the Western Morning News to find the best picnic spot on the Coast Path.
Kynance Cove in Cornwall was an outright winner and what a picnic spot! With its sea-polished rock formations, white sand and sparkling turquoise waters, this popular cove on the Lizard peninsula was also very popular in Victorian times, with visitors including Lord Alfred Tennyson. Today, its picture-postcard beauty draws tens of thousands of visitors each year.
You can see all the locations shortlisted on the South West Coast Path website here where there are recommended walks available that take you to these treasured locations complete with route description and map. 
So if you haven’t visited these places yet, there’s no better time to pack a picnic and head out on the Coast Path to discover these fantastic spots for yourself.
