Preparations are in full swing for the Discover England's South West Coast Path project
Preparations are in full swing for the Discover England's South West Coast Path project to attract the German and Dutch tourism markets to the region.
The 5 itineraries with 3, 5 and 7 day options have been completed and the Association has been busy getting ready for the first Trade/Travel Show in the Netherlands in January. The 'see, hear, taste' theme of the stand will incorporate video footage of the key locations featured in the itineraries, newly produced 360 degree film footage viewable using VR headsets and a range of local delicacies to taste. We hope this will bring the coast to life for the Dutch visitors and encourage them to start planning their holiday in the South West. We are having the Complete Guide translated into Dutch in readiness for the February show which we will be pre-promoting in January. A PR Agency is currently being appointed to encourage people to come and see us at the show and take ‘a selfie’ through a frame on our wonderful scenic backdrop and to enter a competition to win a walking holiday in the South West.
Some of the materials we are taking to the show are shown below. The itineraries will be available on the web site from January.
