New record set for completing the South West Coast Path
A new record has been set for completing all 630 miles of the South West Coast Path after Patrick Devine-Wright made it in 14 days 8 hours and 2 minutes, shaving 7 hours off the previous record.
Patrick said 'I feel great, its been amazing' after #630miles of a gruelling challenge that saw him struggle through despite difficulties early on with injuries and badly bruised toes.
Throughout his journey, he updated a blog every day to document hs challenge. For his account of reaching the finish line on the last day of his challenge, click here...
If this has inspired you to take up a challenge of your own, you can do so by taking part in the South West Coast Path Challlenge taking place in October. It can involve as little as one mile or as much as the entire trail but it needs to be a challenge, whether that's walking with your tiny tots or running the equivalent of a marathon in one day. The choice is yours.
