A project carried out by local conservation charity Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust, to improve a popular area of the South West Coast Path at St Mary’s Bay, Brixham, has recently been completed.

 A charity walk unlike any other is soon to take place as Steve Ridd (46) and his mum Pauline (68) prepare to embark on an epic walk covering all 300 miles of the South West Coast Path in Cornwall.

To give the Coast Path a ‘birthday present’ in gratitude for the pleasure it has given millions of people the SW Coast Path Association is organising a big fund raising walk next Spring to make it even better.

The UK’s top-selling website magazine, Web user has awarded the South West Coast Path’s revamped website an impressive five stars in its latest issue and the Daily Mail describes it as “particularly impressive”

One of the loveliest walks on the South West Coast Path, between Falmouth and the Helford River, has benefited from a programme of step building and drainage.

A £10,000 improvement project has recently been completed on a section of the South West Coast Path at Travaunance Cove, near St Agnes, in north Cornwall.

Following a major cliff fall (24th July) near Burton Bradstock, the majority of the Coast Path has now been re-opened, with the exception of the section between Burton Freshwater and Hive Beach, where a diversion is still in place.
