Visit Cornwall CEO Malcolm is clocking up the miles for the Coast Path Challenge

Malcolm Bell, Visit Cornwall’s Chief Executive, is passionate about the South West Coast Path. For the 2016 challenge event he has pledged to walk just under 30 ‘Malcolm’s Miles’ in three days on 5th, 6th & 9th October.

A group of around 50 people took part in a charity stomp on Saturday, walking the first 10 miles of the South West Coast Path from Minehead to Porlock on Exmoor, as part of a month-long series of events to raise funds to help protect this National Trail.

We often get asked when the best time to walk the Coast Path is. For all teachers, lecturers, professors and those who have a larger break in the summer holidays - it has to be over the months of July and August. Even in the ‘big six weeks’ as they’re called down here, there is room for everyone and you’ll be amazed at the number of hours you have the coast views to yourself on long stretches.
