Media resources and marketing toolkit

Welcome to the multi award-winning  South West Coast Path National Trail, a 630-mile adventure around the coastline of the South West peninsula, from Minehead in Somerset to the shores of Poole Harbour in Dorset.

Described as “walking at its most diverse, most spectacular and most delicious,” by the Lonely Planet Great Adventures Guide (2012), the South West Coast Path has been voted the nation’s best Walking Route by readers of Walk magazine for the second time in a row.

This section is dedicated to journalists and those in the travel trade who want specific information on any aspect of the South West Coast Path, whether it’s the trail’s economic value to business or the best walks to take with children. It includes editorial that is free to use as it is or can be tailored to your requirements. An editorial guide is provided to assist anyone in writing about the South West Coast Path and to ensure that this National Trail is referred to accurately in accordance with its brand guidelines.

All the latest news stories can be found at the bottom of this page, alongside our events feed and a full archive of stories is available here.

You can browse our gallery of professional-standard, high-resolution pictures, some of which have been selected according to the most popular key themes and highlights along the Coast Path. If you wish to use any of the images, email [email protected]  letting us know the name of the photograph and the photographer. We will send you the images. All we ask in return is for the photographer to be credited in the caption and for the South West Coast Path National Trail to be given a prominent mention within the editorial and an inclusion of our web address.

To complement this, a sample selection of some of our most popular round-ups of themed walks can be accessed here too.
