wins South West Coast Path Photographer of the Year 2024

Jasmin Fernholz, a photographer from Germany has been named the South West Coast Path Photographer of the Year 2024.  Jasmin’s image captures the calm and tranquillity of walking the South West Coast Path at sunset on a warm summer’s day. The winning photograph beat tough competition from over 1,700 entries that included photographers from across the globe, showing how much the South West Coast Path attracts international visitors. Jasmin not only enjoys the coveted title but wins a 2-night stay at St Austell Brewery’s The Pier House, Charlestown and 2 return train tickets courtesy of sponsors Great Western Railway.

  • Jeanie Blackall wins the Active Devon Volunteer Award for the North Devon District and Torridge area

Congratulations to Jeanie Blackall who has won the Active Devon Volunteer Award for the North Devon District and Torridge area. Jeanie came up with the idea of starting a walking group for people who had lost their life partners and mentioned this to our Coast Path Connectors Project Officer Huw who thought it was wonderful and provided advice and support to help set up the group. From this meeting and from Jeanie’s hard work Healing Steps was formed.
