Annual General Meeting

2019 AGM Information

We are delighted to announce that our 2019 Annual General Meeting of the South West Coast Path Association will be held at The Falmouth Hotel, Castle Beach, Falmouth TR11 4NZ, on Friday 7th June 2019. 

For members attending the AGM and wanting to stay in the area, we have 2 business members within 5 miles of The Falmouth Hotel who offer accommodation, Trevarn B&B and Falmouth Lodge Backpackers, further details can be found in the 2019/20 Complete Guide or by searching for accommodation in Falmouth on our accommodation finder here.

The Falmouth hotel are offering 15% off the room rate, for members attending the AGM and wishing to stay over, for the 6th or 7th June 2019. Please call the hotel directly for availability and booking information on 01326 312671.

On the day of the AGM there will be refreshments on arrival at the Falmouth Hotel, in the Pendennis Ballroom, at 10.30am.   

The morning will consist of presentations from the Associations chair Ken Carter and highlights of the year from our director Julian Gray and special guest speakers.  

We will break for lunch between 12.30pm and 2pm. A lunch menu will be available in the Falmouth Hotel brassiere at this time and members and guests are welcome to order food through lunchtime. There are also other cafés and restaurants nearby.   

The official AGM will commence after lunch and be followed by a presentation of Completion certificates and refreshments.

Call for Trustee Nominations

We are now inviting nominations to stand for election as Trustees at our AGM on Friday 7th June.

Trustees are a vital part in the governance and oversight of the charity. If you’re interested in getting involved, you can download a trustee prospectus by clicking here.

In terms of the process, nominations must be received by the Association no later than 12-noon on Friday 26th April 2019.

Nominations must be proposed and seconded by two different members. We will need to be given the names and addresses of the proposer and seconder, although we only publish the names in the formal meeting papers.

Members proposing or seconding a nomination do not need to attend the AGM. You may send your nomination(s) to the Association office by post to:

In addition to nominations, members may submit resolutions for discussion at the AGM. These must also be received no later than 12-noon on Friday 26th April 2019.

In accordance with clause 22 of the constitution, the meeting papers are to be made available to you.
