We all depend on the natural environment for our health and wellbeing and thanks to protected landscapes like our National Trails, we have access to truly special places. Over 9 million people each year look to the South West Coast Path (SWCP) as a place to be active, relax or spend quality time with family and friends. All part of a happy, healthy lifestyle.

Connecting People to Nature

As part of our charitable mission to ensure everyone has access to the Coast Path, we’re working to inspire and support people to get active and stay active, so they can reap the health benefits of walking.

Get involved with Couch to Coast

We’re currently working with Active Devon to run a number of initiatives across the south west to help older people who are inactive, improve their health by walking the Coast Path. The project is called CAN which stands for ‘Connecting Actively to Nature’ and we’re already seeing some fantastic results with the groups we’re working with. Below is a list of the projects we have completed, and locations of those that are coming soon:
