Jen and Sim Benson

Outdoor adventure writers Jen and Sim spend loads of time out exploring the South West Coast Path. You can read about their exciting trail running exploits here.

“We've lived in the South West for most of our lives and the South West Coast Path has been a linking theme for so many of the best times we've spent together. From exploring caves and coves with the kids to running the 45-mile Classic Quarter from Lizard Point to Land's End, it's a place where it's impossible not to have an adventure. We even spent our our honeymoon on the Coast Path, walking around the rugged far western edge of Cornwall.

“The South West Coast Path is a trail unlike any other, edged for most of its length by the relentless sea. This gives it so much of its magic and drama, but also means it needs a lot of looking after to keep it safe and enjoyable for everyone. At £1,000 per year to maintain each of its 630 miles it's a huge project, but we've seen first hand the damage inflicted on it by recent storms and the cost of losing such a precious Path and all its wonders would be immeasurable. We're supporting the South West Coast Path Association and its 40 FOR 40 campaign in 2018, helping to raise £40,000 to protect the future of this incredible trail.”
