Business Engagement

Sarah Gunn

I work with tourism businesses along the Trail, local producers and larger corporates to identify ways we can support them in their aims whilst also supporting us in our work to protect and care for the Path. This includes our Way Maker programme, South West Coast Path Passport and Mile Maker schemes. The Path brings £520 million into the local economy every year so it’s important that we all work together to care for this world-class environmental and tourism asset we’re so lucky to have.

I grew up in North Devon and have always loved being outdoors in nature and next to the coast. I’ve lived in Plymouth for over 30 years and have been closely involved with the business community, including the development of Royal William Yard. I also love spending time on the Path in South Devon and South East Cornwall. I was inspired to work for the SWCPA when I completed 250 miles of the Camino de Santiago pilgrim route about eight years ago and wanted to get involved in creating a similar experience for the South West.
