Amateur and professional photographers are encouraged to enter their best pictures of the Coast Path in this annual photo competition. The South West Coast Path is one of the world's greatest walks. The aim of the competition is to showcase its landscape and wildlife by taking beautifully crafted photographs.

This year the selection panel is excited to have award-winning landscape photographer Adam Burton on board to judge this year’s South West Coast Path photography competition.

A previous entrant in the competition with a photograph that appeared in the Coast Path calendar before turning pro, Adam has recently published a new book, ‘Photographing Devon and Cornwall’, which is largely focused on the region’s stunning coastline alongside the landscapes of Exmoor, Dartmoor and Bodmin.

Adam says of the Coast Path:

“The coastline of the South West has always been very special to me. Producing the book gave me the perfect opportunity to re-visit some of the world's finest coastal locations, when the majestic scenery is showcased in glorious natural light.”

The South West Coast Path provides access to 630 miles of coastal scenery from Minehead on the edge of Exmoor to the shores of Poole harbour in Dorset. It offers endless opportunities for the budding landscape photographer to capture beautiful seascapes from the ideal vantage point where the view changes along with the weather and the seasons.
