Description of the Path

The 630 miles/1,105km length of the South West Coast Path makes it the country's longest National Trail by far. In order to help walkers get an idea of what the Path has to offer, it has been divided into seven convenient lengths which are individually described. The lengths are:-

A brief look at how the coastline has been used over history, and how this has influenced its appearance.

How the range of factors - natural features, landscape, history - has combined to create a unique character.
